The G1: a base layer protection package

The G1 is designed to be used on every day EMS transports.  Our unique patent-pending design provides a base layer that absorbs bodily fluids over all patient contact points, eliminating the need to clean the gurney or rig, decreasing transition time from dropping off to back in service.

Key features:

  • Single use and disposable

  • Impermeable base layer

  • Lightweight and simple to deploy

  • Super absorbing

  • Head and foot attachment points  can be flipped up to catch fluids and prevent contamination

  • Ergonomic wings catch body fluids between the gurney rail and pad protecting the rig and gurney

  • Absorbable layer provides a comfortable patient contact point

The G2: a 3-in-1 field tested design

  1. Impermeable base layer

  2. Super absorbing layer

  3. Heavy lifting layer with handles

The G2 is deigned to be used with critical and challenging patients. Our design incorporates all of the features of the G1 with a heavy lifting sheet and handles for 2 or 4 person lifting. This allow it to be used to transport patients from the field or down the stairs to the gurney.  The absorbable layer is designed to catch all of the most memorable fluids  (think GI Bleed).

G1 features plus:

  • Heavy lifting sheet rated for 150 KG

  • Ergonomic handles for 2 or 4 person lifting

  • Form fitting design makes transporting in tight spaces and navigation stairs more ergonomic

Gurney covers designed by and for First Responders

The GurneyGuard  was designed by Emergency Room Physicians in conjunction with First Responders to address an immediate pain point in the current market due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Trends that were taking hold pre-pandemic have massively accelerated the need to modernize the existing gurney accessories market.

The GurneyGuard  product line  includes the G1 and the G2. The G2 specifically incorporates a heavy lifting sheet with strategically placed lifting handles, for both two or four person lifting. This allows the entire G2 platform to be rated for 150KG loads allowing for seamless patient transfers while still providing the absorbency, impermeability, and disposability of the G1. The G1 and G2 are easy to deploy, making post run clean-ups incredibly efficient, as well as safer for both patient and crew.

Operating on the front lines during the pandemic, the Mobile Medical team understands first hand the need to provide additional protection to the patients and the professionals who serve them.

Due to limited supplies and demand,  Mobile Medical is currently only fulfilling orders in the Intermountain West Region.

Disposable High Quality

Material

Only high quality, medical grade material is used in the production of our gurney covers. The GurneyGuard is designed to be a single use disposable barrier that first and foremost protects the crew and patients from daily exposure to bacteria, viruses like COVID-19 and other fluids.

Heber City EMS

about us

At the start of my (first) professional career, I would never have predicted I would be an emergency medicine physician, let alone an entrepreneur.

Following my career as a Deck Watch Officer and pilot in the US Coast Guard, I had a major life change and found my way to medical school at the University of Vermont. Ultimately spending my second career over the  last 20 years as an ER doc, living and working in Park City, Utah.

Although the idea for a disposable EMS cover started years ago while witnessing an accident during a mountain biking trip in Vancouver Island, development of that idea took a backseat to starting a family.

Years later, we finally pushed  forward and turned that initial design, drafted on a bar napkin, into reality….and the G1 was born. Through much testing with local EMS crews, we refined the G1 and also created the G2, in order to meet the needs of crews we’ve worked with.

Our mission has always been to better protect the patients we serve, the crews we work with, and the gear we need to do our jobs!
